Frequently asked

How do backups work?
Turn on iCloud backup in Settings. WrenchStrike copies your data — including photos and signatures — to your own private iCloud container. It backs up automatically when you close the app, and you can tap “Back up now” anytime. We never see any of it.
How do I restore on a new phone?
Install WrenchStrike on the new iPhone, sign in to the same iCloud account, then open Settings → “Restore from backup” and confirm. Everything comes back — jobs, customers, invoices, photos, and signatures.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
WrenchStrike Pro is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Your existing jobs stay viewable, editable, and re-sendable even if you cancel.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings → “Export everything” to get your customers, vehicles, jobs, payments, and expenses as CSV files you can open in any spreadsheet. Your data is never locked in.
Why does the app ask for camera access?
Only to scan VIN barcodes on the door jamb and to attach photos to a job — always with your permission. You can type the VIN by hand instead and skip camera access entirely.
Does WrenchStrike work offline?
Yes. WrenchStrike runs entirely on your phone with no accounts and no internet required. It only goes online for the optional VIN decode (a lookup to NHTSA’s free public service) and iCloud backup — both of which you control.

WrenchStrike helps you prepare invoices and tax summaries; it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.
